1. Introduction
Welcome to London Computer Repairs. By using our website or booking a service with us, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions.
If you disagree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.
2. "No Fix, No Fee" Policy
Our "No Fix, No Fee" policy is designed to give you peace of mind. It means:
- If we cannot diagnose or repair your device, you will not be charged for the labor.
- If we diagnose the problem but you decide not to proceed with the recommended repair, a small diagnostic fee may apply (agreed upon in advance).
- This policy does not apply to data recovery services where advanced diagnostics are required, or liquid damage repairs which require extensive cleaning labor.
3. Liability & Data Loss
While we take every precaution to protect your data, data loss can occur during hardware repairs (especially hard drive or motherboard repairs) or due to existing corruption.
We strongly recommend that you:
- Back up all important files, photos, and documents before handing over your device.
- Inform us immediately if you have not backed up your data so we can attempt a backup before starting work (fees may apply).
London Computer Repairs shall not be liable for any loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of opportunity arising from our services.
4. Warranty
We stand behind our work with a solid warranty:
- Hardware Repairs: 90-day warranty on parts and labor.
- Software Repairs: 30-day warranty on virus removal and system reinstallation (unless reinfection occurs due to user action).
- New Parts: Manufacturer's warranty applies (typically 1 year).
Warranty is void if the device shows signs of new physical damage, liquid damage, or tampering by a third party.
5. Uncollected Devices
Due to storage limitations, devices must be collected within 60 days of repair completion notification.
If a device remains uncollected after 60 days, we reserve the right to dispose of the item to recover our costs, in accordance with the Torts (Interference with Goods) Act 1977.
6. Payments
Payment is due upon completion of the service. We accept cash, major credit/debit cards, and bank transfers.
Devices will not be released until full payment has been received. Business invoices typically have 30-day payment terms, subject to prior agreement.
